West Brom have opened talks with defender Steven Reid over a new deal, head coach Roy Hodgson has confirmed.
Reid - currently sidelined with a foot injury - is out of contract in the summer although Albion can take up a 12-month option.
The club's technical and sporting director Dan Ashworth has spoken with Reid's representatives, and Hodgson said: "Dan will talk him through that one and, if he wants to stay, it won't be a difficult decision to keep him if they can reach an agreement."
