Junior Hoilett scored a 25-yard screamer to give Blackburn's Barclays Premier League survival hopes a mighty boost as they recorded a 2-0 victory over Norwich.

Recalled Argentinian striker Mauro Formica had put Rovers ahead in the 40th minute when he volleyed home from a Morten Gamst Pedersen cross.

Then Hoilett let fly past John Ruddy in the 49th minute as Rovers cruised to a crucial victory, substitute Aaron Wilbraham missing the Canaries' best chance late on.
