New England boss Roy Hodgson will not be given the benefit of a honeymoon period, former international defender Sol Campbell has warned.
Campbell says the fact that Hodgson will be plunged straight into Euro 2012 means he will not have the settling-in period that other England managers have enjoyed. The former Tottenham and Arsenal defender told CNN: "In the beginning, there's always a honeymoon period. They [the media] usually give you a little bit of a grace of a couple of months.
"But because the tournament is upon us, really, there's no honeymoon period."
