Gareth Bale has no desire to leave Tottenham this summer and hopes to still be at White Hart Lane next season, it has been claimed.
The 22-year-old is likely to have no shortage of suitors during the transfer window, particularly after Spurs were demoted to next season's Europa League following Chelsea's Champions League triumph.
Bale has been linked with moves to both Barcelona and Real Madrid, although Daniel Levy's hard-bargaining would make it supremely difficult for any club to prise the Wales international from north London this year.
However, Bale is reportedly content with life with Spurs, and will not allow their Champions League heartache to see him entertain the idea of leaving the club for pastures new.
“Gareth wants to stay for next season," a Spurs insider told The Sun.
“To say he is happy at the club right now is a bit of an understatement.”
Along with Bale, Luka Modric has also been linked with a summer move away from the club, with Chelsea and Manchester United both touted as potential destinations for the Croatian.
Chelsea had a number of bids turned down for Modric last summer, with the final offer for his services totalling at around £40 million.
