Chelsea are ready to make a move for Fulham's £10million-rated forward Moussa Dembele - who is also wanted by Manchester United - according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old has only one year remaining on his existing contract at Craven Cottage, and has intimated he is unwilling to open discussions over a new deal amid interest from a number of bigger clubs.

After the Blues clinched the signing of Eden Hazard earlier this week, Dembele could follow his Belgian international teammate to Stamford Bridge, forming the latest part of a new look Chelsea team.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is also keeping tabs on the Fulham star's situation, and could make a rival bid in an attempt to lure him to Old Trafford if they make a firm offer.

Martin Jol will be desperate to keep Dembele in west London, particularly as Fulham are set to lose two more strikers in the form of Andy Johnson and Clint Dempsey.

The Dutch boss will be doing everything in his power to tie the player to a new long-term deal, and fight off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
