After weeks of anticipation Euro 2012 finally kicks off today with co-hosts Poland taking on Greece in the first game

But, the tournament has already been hit by controversy after black players in the Holland squad suffered racist taunts during their open training session


United close in on Modric

Luca Modric looks set to join Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson offered Spurs £30million for the Croatian midfielder

Modric will be offered wages of £125,000 a week to lure him to Old Trafford as United look to reclaim the Premier League title (Sun)
