Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has said he hopes that Team GB will continue to compete in Olympic football beyond London 2012.

London 2012 will be the first time Team GB have competed in men's football at the Olympics since 1960, with Giggs set to captain the side.

Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge meanwhile remains a doubt for games after undergoing treatment for viral meningitis, Stuart Pearce revealed.

Elsewhere, Robin van Persie has reportedly told Arsene Wenger he is determined to leave Arsenal - with his preferred destination Juventus.
