Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are being linked with summer moves for Spanish international Santi Cazorla.
Reports in The Daily Mail yesterday claimed that Spurs were eyeing the Malaga star as a possible replacement for Luka Modric, with the Croatian expected to complete a move to Real Madrid at some stage this summer.
However, Spanish publication El Confidencial now claims that Arsenal are ready to enter negotiations for the player, who cost Los Boquerones £17 million last summer.
Currently paid in the region of £38,000-a-week at La Rosaleda, Cazorla could double his wages with a move to the Premier League, with Andre Villas-Boas keen to continue revamping his squad at White Hart Lane after taking over from Harry Redknapp last month.
Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move in the past, although the Frenchman is currently putting all his efforts towards trying to keep Robin Van Persie at the Emirates Stadium.
The former Villarreal star would certainly come to England with a big reputation, having made 42 appearances for La Roja and featured in both the 2008 and 2012 European Championship winning squads.
