Manchester United are set to become the world's most valuable football team listed on a public stock exchange.

The Glazer family plans to price the United shares this evening, with a view to a floatation on the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow morning.

And while Sir Alex Ferguson's side already occupy top spot on the Forbes Most Valuable Soccer Teams list, their floatation should see their lead extend further.

According to the Guardian, sources estimate United's share price could value the club as high as $3bn - almost twice as much as Real Madrid. In anticipation of the share sale, GMF counts down the top ten most valuable teams, with valuations taken from Forbes Magazine...
