Universidad de Chile striker Angelo Henriquez has arrived in England to undertake a medical ahead of a move to Manchester United.
The 18-year-old Chile under-23 international is one of the most coveted young players in South America having scored 15 goals in 28 appearances last season, and has also held talks with Manchester City.
However, Manchester United look set to beat their rivals to the signature of the young forward after he arrived at Bridgewater hospital ahead of a £4 million move to Old Trafford, as reports the Daily Mail.
Henriquez may not be the last striker to join United this summer after Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly made progress in his negotiations with Arsenal over the proposed transfer of Robin van Persie.
According to The Sun, Arsenal have conceded defeat in their bid to keep Van Persie, and the Dutchman could now join United in a deal worth £22 million.
United have already completed the signings of Japanese playmaker Shinji Kagawa and teenage midfielder Nick Powell form Crewe.
