Rovers edge drab affair

Colin Kazim-Richards scored his second goal in as many games as a lacklustre Blackburn edged past Hull with a 1-0 win at Ewood Park in the npower Championship.

On-loan Galatasary forward Kazim-Richards broke the deadlock in the 77th minute on a night where under-fire Rovers boss Steve Kean received a familiar barracking from his own supporters.

The visitors produced the only effort on target in the first half as Nick Proschwitz extended Paul Robinson in the Rovers goal. But Kazim-Richards was on hand to follow up his strike in Saturday's opening draw at Ipswich after City failed to deal with Dickson Etuhu's teasing cross.
