Lampard better than Gerrard and Scholes

Chelsea and England star Frank Lampard is the best midfielder in the Premier League, according to an EXCLUSIVE poll conducted by GMF for football fans.

Over a quarter of nearly 130,000 voters said Lampard was the best of the bunch, but Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was very close behind and Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes a touch further back in third.

The top three were ahead of the other options by quite a margin, with the closest of the rest being Arsenal new boy Santi Cazorla – the Spaniard won a good few more votes than Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, Tottenham Hotspur’s Scott Parker and Everton’s Belgium international Marouane Fellaini.
