David Beckham is set to return to the LA Galaxyside tomorrow after recovering from an ankle injury.

The former-England captain has missed the last month with an ankle complaint, as the MLS season approaches its climax.

But Beckham looks likely to hand LA Galaxy a timely boost as they look chase down the title.

LA Galaxy currently lie second in the Western Conference, and have already clinched a a playoff place. San Jose Earthquakes top the Western Conference, while Sporting Kansas City sit at the summit of the Eastern Conference.

Beckham helped guide the Galaxy to the MLS Cup and Western Conference title last season. The California-based team have won the regular season Western Conference for the last three years, but look unlikely to retain their trophy this year, with San Jose well out in front.

Beckham has been out injured since September 1, and the former Manchester United midfielder’s return will be key for the Galaxy if they are to retain the MLS Cup.
