Manchester United have rejected several enquiries from Championship clubs to take Robbie Brady on loan, according to Sky Sports.

The 20-year-old winger, who impressed during a stint at Hull City last season, had been expected to be farmed out again this year, in order to gain more first-team experience.

Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Burnley have all been credited with making a bid for the highly-rated midfielder, but so far their efforts have not come to fruition.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a huge admirer of Brady, and included him in the club's pre-season tour of North America. But, with competition for places at an all-time at Old Trafford, his chances of cementing a place in the side are slim.

He made his first-team debut in the Capital One Cup victory against Newcastle United, and according to Ferguson, remains very much part of his plans this campaign.

The Manchester United scholar is currently away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, and featured as a second-half substitute in the 6-1 defeat against Germany in Dublin on Friday night.
