Blues wait for Lampard fitness update

Chelsea should learn on Friday of Frank Lampard's availability for Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Lampard underwent a scan on Thursday on the calf injury that saw him limp off after just 15 minutes of Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk.

An update is expected to be given by manager Roberto Di Matteo at Friday's lunchtime press conference.
