Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly hopeful of securing the services of Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong for the second time in two seasons.

Frimpong made just five appearances in the Premier League for Wolves last term before he suffered a serious knee injury, from which the Arsenal youngster has only just returned.

The 20-year-old has not played a competitive match for Arsenal since he made his comeback in recent weeks, but has had a run out for the Gunners' reserve team side.

Frimpong, however, is still not quite at Arsenal first-team standard in terms of fitness, and is prepared to leave the Gunners in the short-term in order to further himself elsewhere.

According to the Daily Express, Wolves manager Ståle Solbakken is ready to offer Frimpong the opportunity of some game time at Molinuex, should Arsene Wenger make him available for loan.

Frimpong joined the Arsenal academy before he was a teenager and made his first team debut in 2011.
