Tottenham's youngster outclassed Barcelona on their own patch on Wednesday, as an outstanding Spurs side triumphed 4-1 at the Catalan club's Mini Estadi in the NextGen series.

With the shadow of the Camp Nou cast over Barcelona's neighbouring ground, Tottenham's under-19 produced a fine display to stun their Barca counterparts.

Shaquille Coulthirst fired a hat-trick for Spurs in only an hour to leave Barcelona staring down the barrel of a humiliating defeat, before Alex Pritchard made things even worse on 70 minutes.

Barcelona did grab a consolation goal with two minutes remaining, but the damage had already been done by the north London outfit, and Spurs now draw level with Barca at the top of Group 1 after five matches.

It is the second famous victory for Tottenham in the NextGen against a giant of European football, with the White Hart Lane youngsters thrashing Inter Milan 7-1 last season at Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road.

Next up for Spurs in this season's NextGen is Belgian outfit Anderlecht, who travel to London for the encounter on December 13.
