Arsene Wenger has hit out at Theo Walcott over the forward's failure to agree terms with the club. The England international is in the final six months of current deal at Emirates Stadium, and will be able to speak with potential new suitors foam January.

Sir Alex Ferguson says Manchester United can end City's unbeaten run at home in Sunday's derby showdown. City have not lost at home in the Premier League for two years but Ferguson believes United can end that sequence at the weekend.

David Silva is fit for the Manchester derby after a rapid recovery from a hamstring injury. The Spain international has responded well to special training sessions and will be available for Sunday's crunch fixture.

John Obi Mikel has been given a three-match ban and fined £60,000 by the FA for threatening referee Mark Clattenburg.

Andre Villas-Boas paid tribute to his players after Spurs progressed to the knock-out round of the Europa League. Emmanuel Adebayor, an own goal, and Jermain Defoe scored the goals as Tottenham beat Panathiankos 3-1 at White Hart Lane.
