Leeds have refused to comment on speculation linking manager Dennis Wise with a move to Newcastle.
The Barclays Premier League club are understood to have made an approach to Leeds for the 41-year-old who they want to join Kevin Keegan´s backroom staff.
A Leeds spokesman said: "We don´t comment on speculation. We have an important game at Southend on Tuesday night and Dennis is preparing his team for that."
