Paul Kemsley denies his resignation as Tottenham vice-chairman had anything to do with his involvement in Spurs´ clandestine meeting with Sevilla coach Juande Ramos.

Property tycoon Kemsley met Ramos along with other representatives from the north London club and when news of the encounter broke it severely undermined Spurs head coach Martin Jol, whose team started the Premier League season poorly.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "That´s absolute nonsense. To be honest, I had outgrown the position. I am not a number two any more, and it was becoming a distraction."
