A double from Matthew Etherington and a goal from Craig Bellamy gave West Ham a deserved 3-0 victory at Reading - the side that had thrashed them 6-0 in the corresponding fixture last season.

Alan Curbishley´s side did not look back after Bellamy had given them an early lead and Etherington struck early in the second half before netting another in stoppage time

Hammers goalkeeper Robert Green had denied Kevin Doyle from the penalty spot to keep a clean sheet.
