Leicester manager Martin Allen has dismissed reports of a rift with chairman Milan Mandaric.

Speculation was rife that Allen´s job was on the line ahead of the Foxes´ emphatic 4-1 home win over Watford on Saturday, with Mandaric rumoured to be lining up former West Ham and Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder as his replacement.

There was a suggestion the pair had fallen out over the collapse of Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink´s proposed move to the Walkers Stadium, despite Mandaric publicly backing his manager´s decision not to sign the veteran striker amid concerns about his fitness. But Allen told Sky Sports News: "There´s no rift with him."
