Roy Keane has admitted his interest in resurrecting the Barclays Premier League career of Andy Cole by bringing the former Newcastle frontman back to the north-east.
The 35-year-old Cole has been looking for a new club after being released by Portsmouth this summer and the Sunderland boss is considering making him one of two more signings before the transfer window closes.
Keane, who played alongside the veteran forward when both men were at Manchester United, said: "Coley has obviously left Portsmouth and that is something I am looking at, I have to say, at the moment. There will probably be news on one or two players who will be coming in."
