Video: Neymar makes mascot cry

They say meeting your heroes can be daunting and it appears to have just got a little too emotional for one young football fan when given the chance to meet Brazil superstar Neymar.

The Santos talisman was lining up ahead of a charity game called Match Against Poverty set up by World Cup legend Ronaldo.

Neymar was in his compatriot’s side, named Ronaldo and Friends, and were going up against Zidaen and Friends.

There were countless world famous footballers from the past 30 years to be star struck by, but the young mascot made it quite clear Neymar was the one she was most excited about meeting.

The girl burst into tears when seeing the new face of Brazilian football and could not bring herself to let go of him, so much so that she had to be led away by former Real Madrid midfielder Santi Solari.
