Birmingham opened their pre-season with a 2-0 win over German side Hohenlohe Auswahl in Kunzelsau.
Mikael Forssell and Neil Danns scored the goals as Steve Bruce´s side struggled in 30 degree-plus heat.
With most of the club´s summer signings ineligible because of international clearance not coming through in time, the only new face on show was Stuart Parnaby who had a comfortable game at right-back.
