Giggs ready to fight for United place

Ryan Giggs is ready to meet the renewed threat to his Manchester United place head on.

Now 33, Giggs is only 43 appearances away from equalling Sir Bobby Charlton´s 759-game all-time record for the Old Trafford outfit.

"The Premiership gets tougher every year and Manchester United cannot afford to stand still," he said. "Whether the manager signed anyone or not, the challenge is still there."
