Ipswich´s bid to sign Blackburn striker Francis Jeffers has failed due to the player´s wage demands.
The Coca-Cola Championship club had agreed a fee with Rovers for the 26-year-old, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Portman Road last season.
However, despite offering a deal which Town claim would have exceeded his wages at Ewood Park, Jeffers has turned down the chance to join Jim Magilton´s side permanently - leaving the Tractor Boys to switch transfer targets.
