England striker David Nugent is expected to return to Preston for pre-season training on Monday where he will hold talks with manager Paul Simpson.
Nugent has been the subject of bids from Sunderland and Portsmouth following his return from England Under-21 duty, but his destination remains unclear and Simpson expects the £7million-rated forward to report for training as normal.
Simpson played down reports he has "ordered" the 22-year-old back, telling the club´s official website: "If I ordered Nuge back to training then by the same token I ordered the rest of the squad to return to training last Thursday."
