Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown insists he is baffled by reports claiming the club has been targeted by Czech and Serbian oil tycoons with a view to a £40million takeover bid.
Sunday newspaper reports claim Monaco-based agent and former oil trader Craig Hutchinson is attempting to broker a deal that would see a trio of oil barons buy out Lansdown´s majority shareholding in the newly-promoted Coca-Cola Championship club.
However, Lansdown told the club´s official website: "I´ve no idea who Craig Hutchinson is, I´ve never spoken to him."
