Dean Windass has warned Hull´s transfer targets they would face a tough job to replace him in the first team.

The Tigers have been linked with Colchester forward Jamie Cureton and Ipswich striker Alan Lee, but Windass was bullish about his chances of remaining first choice next season.

The 38-year-old told the Hull Daily Mail: "I don´t mind new strikers coming into the club. I´ve never shied away from competition in my life. I didn´t come here as a PR stunt. I came here to play and to score goals. It will take a good striker to come in and score more goals than me."
