Sir Jack Hayward has agreed to sell Wolves to Steve Morgan, the Merseysider who tried to buy Liverpool.

A statement on the club´s website said the sale of the club was expected to go through in early June, with Hayward having agreed to sell up all shares for £10 in total on the condition Morgan invests £30million in Wolves.

A Wolves statement read: "In keeping his promise to supporters to step aside for the right person, Sir Jack (Hayward) has taken the unprecedented step of ´gifting´ the shares of Wolverhampton Wanderers (1990) Ltd, the club´s holding company, to Carden Leisure for £10 in return for a £30million investment into the club."
