Ryan Giggs will decide whether to sign another one-year contract with Manchester United at the end of the season, potentially extending his top-flight career into his 40s.

The 39-year-old, the most decorated player in Premier League history, has made 16 appearances for United this season in all competitions. He demonstrated he still has the ability to change the course of matches with a long looping pass that set up Robin van Persie's dramatic late equaliser at West Ham in the 2-2 FA Cup third round draw last week.

Giggs, 12 times a Premier League winner, has signed a succession of one-year deals with United since moving into his mid-30s, and told the Sunday People: "I will see how I feel and see how I am contributing, and then I will sit down and talk to the manager."
