As the saying goes, like father, like son, and in the case of Enzo Zidane, that seems to ring pretty true.

The Real Madrid under-18's star has plainly inherited his father's fierce temper, after video emerged of him getting sent off just nine minutes after coming on as a substitute.

The 17-year-old midfielder is known as Enzo Fernandez at the Bernabeu, in an effort to play down comparisons with his dad, and was reportedly a transfer target for Liverpool at one stage.

According to a Guardian report, he made headlines back in 2009 after he received a call-up to the Spanish under-15 national team.

And last year, he came to prominence after he was spotted scoring an outrageous 35-yard goal for his Real Madrid youth team.

Unfortunately, this time around the footage is a little less flattering - Enzo clattering into an opponent before kicking out in petulant fashion.

His father famously saw red on the world's biggest stage - headbutting Italy defender Marco Materazzi in extra time of the World Cup final.

Take a look at Enzo's red card in the video above...
