Ronaldinho has praised England's top talent as Brazil prepare to visit Wembley on Wednesday, with the former Barcelona forward claiming Wayne Rooney and Ashley Cole would be worthy inclusions in the squad of the five-time World Cup winners.

Cole and Rooney are both in Roy Hodgson's 23 to face Brazil, with the former set to be awarded his 100th England cap in the glamour friendly organised as part of the Football Association's 150th anniversary celebrations.

Brazil's first-team arrive at the revamped Wembley for the second time, their maiden trip being the senior international curtain-raiser in 2007, boasting a side with the likes of Neymar, Chelsea's Oscar and Dani Alves of Barcelona.

But Ronaldinho has highlighted members of the opposition who will pose problems for Brazil this week, with the 32-year-old particularly complimentary about Rooney and Cole.

"Rooney is a player I like - there is not a national squad in the world he would not improve," Ronaldinho told the Daily Mail when asked which England players would be good enough to play for Brazil.

"Ashley Cole is a fantastic defender. I have seen him keep the best players in the world quiet."

Along with Rooney and Cole, Ronaldinho reserved praise for two veterans of Manchester United and Chelsea - Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard - who he ranks among the greatest players England has ever produced.

Ronaldinho added: "Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Wayne Rooney, all players who, at their peak, would have got into any team in the world."
