Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and three of his first-team stars will ensure the club's fans get to the Etihad Stadium correctly after recording instructions for a new tram service.
Supporters travelling to watch City in action against Leeds United this weekend in the FA Cup fifth round clash will be able to hear the voices of Mancini, Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart and James Milner providing updates on their Metrolink journey.
The voices of the Manchester City players and their boss will be used on matchdays to inform fans following the opening of the new Etihad Campus tram stop on Monday - which provides direct access to the club's ground.
Mancini can be heard to inform the Manchester City faithful they are approaching the stadium, while Kompany greets them over the tannoy with 'This is your captain speaking'.
Manchester City No.1 Hart offers a reminder of the destination of the vehicle when passengers board at New Islington, while Milner does the same for those entering the carriages at Holt Town.
"We are grateful to Roberto, Joe, Vincent and James for taking time out of their busy schedules to record these messages," Peter Cushing, Transport for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink director, told the Daily Mail.
"We know that the Etihad Campus stop is going to be a very popular destination - especially on match days - and we thought this will be an interesting addition to people’s journeys before and after the game."
Those wishing to watch Manchester United, meanwhile, can alight the service at Old Trafford.
