Damian Diaz opened this season’s Copa Libertadores with an absolute screamer, scoring a 25-yard volley for Barcelona against Nacional.

The Argentine attacking midfielder certainly got his side off to a flyer, producing his net-nugget to silence the home crowd in the 18th minute of the match.

Indeed, his strike for the Ecuadorian outfit wouldn’t have gone amiss at the Nou Camp for the more illustrious ‘Barcelona’.

As it was, Diaz’s goal helped his side to a 2-2 draw, with Geovanny Nazareno doubling the away team’s advantage after just 25 minutes.

However, Sebastian Abreu got the hosts back into contention on 68 minutes, before two players were sent off as the game entered the closing stages.

And, with 90 minutes up on the clock, Ivan Alonso sent the crowd into delirium with a stoppage time equaliser.

Check out the goal at the top of this story, and let us know who you think will win the Copa this year…
