Wayne Rooney says he is looking forward to this weekend's FA Cup quarter-final with Chelsea, as Manchester United aim to move closer to completing a league and cup double.

Manchester United have not won the FA Cup since 2004, but a win over Premier League rivals Chelsea on Sunday would take them into the final four.

Rooney told his official Facebook page he was excited at the prospect of making the semi-finals at Wembley.

He said: "Another big game on Sunday in the FA Cup and a chance to get into the semi-finals. Looking forward to it!"

Manchester United have not won the Premier League and the FA Cup in the same season since the treble-winning campaign of 1998/99.

But with a 12-point gap between United and second-placed Manchester City, and with the Red Devils only three victories away from success in the FA Cup, a double is most certainly on the cards for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

Rooney has two goals in this year's FA Cup, netting in the third round replay against West Ham and the 4-1 home thrashing of Fulham.
