Neymar alerts suitors after rejecting new contract

Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid have been given a boost in their pursuit of Brazil star Neymar after he rejected the offer of a new contract at Santos.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Neymar has turned down the chance to extend his deal with the Brazilian club and has all but confirmed he will be leaving for Europe in one of the next two summer windows.

Neymar’s father this week claimed Santos were ready to offer his son a new package to improve his terms and keep him in Belo Horizonte for longer.

The Sport report claims the offer has been turned down through unofficial channels as Neymar is determined to switch to a big European club either this summer or next.
