The Football Association have confirmed they are liaising with police following a tunnel bust-up after Burnley´s defeat to Leeds at Turf Moor.

Leeds midfielder Shaun Derry required stitches to a head wound after allegedly being knocked to the ground by an unnamed Burnley player at the end of a bad-tempered clash.

"The FA are investigating reports of an incident that occurred in the tunnel immediately after Burnley´s match with Leeds on Saturday," an FA spokesman told PA Sport. "We are currently studying the referee´s report and are liaising with police before deciding if there is any action to take."
