Ismael Blanco came off the bench to salvage a 1-1 draw for coachless AEK Athens with an injury-time strike against Getafe in a closely contested last-32 UEFA Cup first-leg clash in the Greek capital.
The Argentinian striker showed superb improvisation to net with a cheeky backheel from close range to level Ruben de la Red´s 86th-minute opener for Michael Laudrup´s Spanish outfit.
AEK were were coached by stand-in boss Nikos Kostenoglou following the departure of Lorenzo Serra Ferrer on the eve of the mach.
