England crashed out of Euro 2008 to leave coach Steve McClaren´s future in grave danger after Croatian substitute Mladen Petric grabbed a late winner in a 3-2 victory at a stunned Wembley.

A Scott Carson howler and slack marking gifted Slaven Bilic´s side a two goal half-time lead through Niko Kranjcar and Ivica Olic.

Frank Lampard´s penalty and a superb Peter Crouch finish looked to have rescued the situation only for Petric to break the hearts of the majority of the 90,000 crowd.
