Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard and president Joan Laporta were united in their praise for Lionel Messi after the Argentinian wonderkid led his side to victory over Sevilla.
Messi´s second-half brace proved the difference between the two title hopefuls, with Frederic Kanoute´s late strike for Sevilla proving little more than a consolation in a 2-1 defeat.
Laporta said of Messi on Spanish television: "He has no limits. He is a source of inspiration, he has an extraordinary magic and he has shown that with all the teams he has played with since he came here. He is the essence of football."
