Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson continued his overhaul of the squad by signing Read Sociedad defender Javier Garrido.
The 22-year-old, has agreed a four-year deal after the Swede paid the Spanish club £1.5million for the player´s services.
He was looking for a new challenge after Sociedad´s relegation from the top flight.
