Villarreal have reached an agreement to sign Real Madrid´s second-choice goalkeeper Diego Lopez.
The 25-year-old Lopez came up through the youth ranks at Real but found it difficult to dislodge Spain international Iker Casillas from the first team, making just three starts this season in the Copa del Rey and Champions League.
At Villarreal Lopez, who will be presented by his new club on Thursday, will compete with Uruguay international Sebastian Viera for the number one spot.
