Croatia climbed five points clear of England in their Euro 2008 qualifying group with a 1-0 win in Estonia.
The Balkan side piled the pressure on Steve McClaren and showed him what is required ahead of the Three Lions´ match on the same ground in midweek as Eduardo da Silva fired home from the edge of the box in the first half.
Russia had earlier occupied top spot in Group E after a predictably comfortable 4-0 thrashing of Andorra in St Petersburg this afternoon. Aleksandr Kerzhakov claimed a hat-trick within 50 minutes before Dmitri Sychev sealed the win.
