Espanyol centre-back Daniel Jarque has extended his contract with the Primera Liga club until June 2011.
The 24-year-old, who came up through the youth ranks at the Barcelona-based outfit, has started 31 league games this season and also helped the club reach the UEFA Cup final.
Jarque said: "I have signed for four more years and I am very happy because we reached an agreement very quickly. There have not been any problems between the two parties because this is my home and I want to be here for a long time."
