Lawrence joins Crewe

Crewe have signed veteran Swansea defender Dennis Lawrence on loan until the end of the year.

The 34-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international was a regular fixture in the Swansea side which won promotion from League One last season but has managed just one appearance in the Carling Cup so far this term.

"It's a massive opportunity for me to come in and get some games under my belt," said Lawrence.

Swansea will be able to recall Lawrence after 28 days if necessary.
