Reading have allowed teenage midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to join League Two side Shrewsbury on a month-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old has made two substitute appearances for Steve Coppell's side this season in the Carling Cup.
Director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website: "Gylfi has already made great strides this season and this loan spell will further add to his footballing education."
He added: "He is joining a progressive club with a new stadium who are competing at the top end of their division so it should be a good experience for him."
