Shrimps Edge it

Morecambe have completed the signing of goalkeeper Lewis Edge on a two-month contract.

The former Blackpool goalkeeper's move to Christie Park provides cover for Shrimps number one Barry Roche, while Scott Davies is unavailable through injury.

Edge, 21, was released at the end of last season by Championship side Blackpool, where he made three first-team appearances and won promotion through the play-offs last year.

The Lancaster-born youngster has previously had loan spells with Rochdale, Bury, Worksop and Northwich Victoria.
