Preston defender Sean St Ledger has signed a new four-year contract to tie him to the club until the summer of 2012.
The highly-rated 23-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but the new contract has secured his long-term future at the Coca-Cola Championship outfit.
St Ledger joined Preston from Peterborough in the summer of 2006 and has been a virtual ever-present making close to 100 appearances in North End colours.
